Help

A lightweight reference for the current build. This is meant to be a quick in-game manual while balancing and systems are still changing.

Quick Start

  • On the region screen, adjust generator settings if you want, then Generate and click a cell.
  • Use Found City to start a new settlement, then begin with roads, a few zones, and power.
  • Watch food, utilities, and budget early. The tutorial cards and Trade / Population panels help explain shortfalls.

Controls

  • 1 / 2 / 3 / 4: pause, slow, medium, fast simulation speed.
  • Space: toggle pause.
  • Q / E: rotate the map. R: rotate the selected building when supported.
  • Right or middle mouse drag: pan the camera. Mouse wheel: zoom.
  • Esc: clear overlays, close the build flyout, and deselect the current tool.

Overlays And Panels

  • Shift+P / W / T / H / U / F / Y: power, water, traffic, happiness, underground, fire, and police overlays when available.
  • Budget: city income, maintenance, debt, taxes, and service costs.
  • Trade: commodities, imports, freight, workforce, and economy tips.
  • Population Overview: residents, jobs, workers, food demand/capacity, and traffic.
  • News: click the ticker to open history.

Tutorial

Clears "Got it" / "Remind later" on every hint for this save and turns the tutorial back on if it was disabled.

Troubleshooting

  • Zones not growing: inspect them for power, water, road access, food, or materials.
  • Revenue feels low: check Trade for imports and Budget for upkeep.
  • Food shortage: open Population Overview and Trade, then add farms, imports, or neighbor supply.
  • Power / water issues: use overlays to see where service stops.
